Beth's memoir "Dad's Chair" was printed by the Cape Cod Voice in  January 23, 2008, describing life with her Dad that always centered around a chair he used and never replaced for more than 60 years.   

Agent Sales Journal, December 2007 - Beth bylined an article "Niche Marketing to Gay and Lesbian prospects: 7 Case Studies based on the experiences of the Board of Directors of PridePlanners, the association of financial advisors specializing in working with gay, lesbian and unmarried couples.

Beth's byline article "Looking for the Return of the South Truro Irregulars" published in  "The Cape Cod Voice" August 16, is a memoir about growing up as a child in South Truro, Mass., and celebrating the 4th of July with family and friends.  This is the sixth memoir that the newspaper has chosen to publish that Beth has written. 

SmartMoney Magazine's September 2007 issue quoted Beth in the lead in a retirement article by Karen Hube. 

Beth's by line article appeared in the September 2007 issue of the Register, the membership magazine of the International Association of Registered Financial Advisors (IARFC) titled"How to Give the Media What They Want."

The TD AMERITRADE newsletter for advisors, Advisor News, featured Beth's byline article "The Client Newsletter Plays Many Roles," in the July 2007 issue.

Beth will be quoted in the FPA's Solution Magazine in April 2007 discussing company taglines that she says are "essential for differentiating your business."

Beth's by line article "You Need a Brief Bio:  What you can do with your professional biography," discusses the importance of creating a first paragraph that includes what you do, for whom, and with what expected results in the first line so that the important "sales" information is what people read first.  It appeared in the March 2007 issue of The Register of the IARFC.

December, 2006, the by line column "How to Create a Great E-Newsletter" appeared in Agent's Sales Journal.

Beth is a periodic columnist for "The Register", the member magazine for the International Association of Registered Financial Advisors.  In 2006 three columns appeared on the following topics:

  • Cape Business Magazine's October 2005 issue featured Beth in "Making Cape Cod their world headquarters: Three former Corporate Executives typify new wave of entrepreneurs."  The story described three consultants who make their income off the Cape and spend it on.
  • Associated Press reporter Eileen Powell interviewed Beth on ways to have a frugal Christmas.  Beth related her thrift shop shopping strategies early in her career when her Christmas list was bigger than her budget.  The story appeared in numous Sunday papers around the country on October 16.
  • Ignites.com quoted Beth in the September 16 story on Bill Gross as a spokesman for Pimco's Bond Portfolios.  She said that when an investment manager is easily found during a web search, investors are encouraged to look more closely for information. 
  • Financial Planning Magazine's September 2005 article "Ready for Prime Time" by Ed McCarthy quoted Beth about preparing for TV interviews.
  • Beth was quoted in Bob Veres E-Column: Marketing Outside the Box," September 6, 2005, about putting case studies on advisor web sites so "stealth" visitors can see that the advisor actually understands complex financial situations. Check out Bob's take on the financial planning industry through his "Inside Information" services and publications at www.bobveres.com, a web site developed exclusively to inform financial advisors. 

  • Investment Advisor Magazines August 2005 issue included Beth as one of the top marketing gurus featured in a cover story “The Gurus Speak.”  She cautioned advisors about the top five mistakes they can make in working with the media.  The article is online at  http://www.investmentadvisor.com/issues/2005_8/cover_story/5338-1.html.

  • Beth's columns "Get Media Smart!" will appear periodically in 2005 in The Register the member publication of the International Association of Registered Financial Advisors (IARFC).
  • Beth was featured in the October 2004 Financial Planning Magazine's Up Front Section "Five Questions" describing why financial planners should consider using the media as a way to market themselves and their practices.
  • Beth was quoted extensively and her book "Get Media Smart!" was excerpted by Bank Marketing, a publication of the American Banker's Association, April 2004, in an article by Janet Bingham Bernstal, titled "Decent Exposure" a look at how financial institutions -- including small community banks -- can compete more effectively for coverage in the local news media.
  • Beth was featured in the February 2004 Financial Planning Magazine article "Top Ten (Best and Worst) Marketing Strategies. Her contribution, one of only ten PR consultants included, was titled "Use Client Questions to Get Noticed by the Media.
